Living with HIV requires specialized care and support. Our clinic offers personalized treatment plans and ongoing management to ensure a healthy and fulfilling life for our patients living with HIV. Our experienced healthcare providers are here to guide and assist you every step of the way.

At-Risk Individuals & Testing Frequency: Individuals engaging in unprotected sex, IV drug users, or those with multiple sexual partners are at higher risk. Regular testing is recommended every 3-6 months based on risk factors.

Testing & Treatment Options: HIV testing involves blood tests. Treatment includes antiretroviral therapy (ART) to suppress the virus and prevent transmission. Other services include counseling, support groups, and specialized care.

    • There is no cure for HIV, but you can control it with HIV treatment.
    • Most people can get the virus under control within six months or less.
    • HIV treatment does not prevent transmission of other sexually transmitted diseases.

Office Visit Expectation: Consultation with healthcare providers, blood work for monitoring viral load and CD4 count, medication adjustments, and discussions about overall health and well-being.

Undetectable = Untransmittable

HIV treatment reduces the amount of HIV in your body and helps you stay healthy with undetectable levels.

“Undetectable” describes when the copies of HIV in a person’s blood is so low that it does not show up on a lab test. The test measures a person’s “viral load.”

“Untransmittable” means that a person living with HIV has virtually no chance of transmitting the HIV virus to someone else through sexual contact.

Prevention is key in the fight against HIV. Our clinic provides comprehensive counseling and access to PrEP and PEP medications to reduce the risk of HIV transmission. We’re dedicated to helping individuals take proactive steps toward their sexual health. PrEP is a daily medication to prevent HIV infection in at-risk individuals, while PEP is a short-term treatment taken after potential exposure to HIV.

At-Risk Individuals & Testing Frequency: Those with a partner living with HIV, individuals engaging in unprotected sex, or injecting drugs are at risk. PrEP/PEP consultations are essential for those at risk and may require regular follow-ups every 3 months.

Testing & Treatment Options: PrEP involves a daily pill (usually Truvada or Descovy). Regular HIV testing is necessary before starting PrEP, and periodic tests are needed while on PrEP. PEP involves a 28-day course of antiretroviral medications.

Office Visit Expectation: Consultation regarding risk factors, potential exposure, prescription of medication (if needed), education about usage, regular follow-ups for monitoring, and potential side effects.

Did you know?  PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV when taken as prescribed. PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99%. PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from injection drug use by at least 74%.

Comprehensive counseling, testing, treatment, and prevention strategies for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Sexual health is an integral part of overall well-being. We offer education, testing, and preventive measures for various sexually transmitted infections (STIs/STDs). Our goal is to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their sexual health. Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are infections that are passed from one person to another through sexual contact. The contact is usually vaginal, oral, or anal sex. But sometimes they can spread through other intimate physical contact. This is because some STDs, like herpes and HPV, are spread by skin-to-skin contact.

The best way of preventing STDs is by sexual abstinence, other options include the use of condoms or PrEP which will only offer protection against HIV.

At-Risk Individuals & Testing Frequency: Anyone sexually active, especially those with multiple partners or inconsistent condom use, are at risk. Testing frequency might vary based on sexual activity but generally recommended annually or more frequently based on risk factors.

Testing & Treatment Options: Testing involves urine, blood, or swab tests depending on the infection. Treatments vary based on the diagnosed infection and may include antibiotics or antiviral medications. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV are just some of the STD/STI’s we test for and treat at our office.

Office Visit Expectation: Consultation about sexual health practices, testing for various STIs based on risk factors, discussion of results, and potential treatment if diagnosed.

Hepatitis C is a serious condition that requires prompt attention. Our clinic offers advanced testing and cutting-edge treatment options for Hepatitis C. We believe in comprehensive care and support to manage and treat this condition effectively.

Hepatitis C is a viral infection that causes liver swelling, called inflammation. Hepatitis C can lead to serious liver damage. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) spreads through contact with blood that has the virus in it.

Screening, diagnosis, and treatment for Hepatitis C, a liver infection caused by the Hepatitis C virus (HCV).

At Risk and Frequency: People who have injected drugs, received tattoos or piercings in unsterile environments, received blood transfusions before 1992, or had unprotected sex with HCV-infected individuals are at risk. Also, individuals who have been on long-term kidney dialysis or have regular contact with blood at work (such as a health care worker) may also be at risk. Testing might occur based on risk factors or during routine health check-ups.

Testing and Treatment: Testing involves blood tests. Treatment includes antiviral medications, often for several weeks to months. Regular follow-ups and monitoring for side effects are essential during treatment.

Office Visit Expectation: Consultation about risk factors, Hepatitis C testing, discussion of results, potential treatment options, and monitoring during the treatment phase.
